Public Properties includes all areas owned by the city of Nebraska City such as the Wildwood Period House, Wyuka Cemetery, the Memorial Building, and public streets. All city streets are maintained and attended to by the Street Department. The Street Department includes a Street Department Foreman and six employees. The Street Department uses trucks, snow plows, mowers, and other equipment to keep Nebraska City’s street safe and usable. Nebraska City strives to keep all streets and properties well maintained and useful in an effective and efficient manner.
