America 250: Patriotic Photography Contest

Nebraska City, NE —The America 250: Nebraska City committee is seeking entries into their Patriotic Photography Contest, an event designed to encourage creativity and offer a space for youth and adults to capture the spirit of America.
“From now until July 4, we are going to be promoting a variety of events and activities that will hopefully foster a sense of community and shared identity,” said Tammy Partsch, a volunteer member of the America 250: Nebraska City committee and Patriotic Photography Contest organizer. “This contest has many different categories that will allow photographers of all ages and skill levels do just that.”
Categories include: American Flag in Action; Historic Landmarks/Monuments; National Icons; Military & Veterans; Americana & Local Life; Patriotic Celebrations; America, the Beautiful; Red, White, & Blue; Seasonal; We the People; Movement; Food; Editorial; Wildlife; Conceptual Art; and AI Generated Image.
Certificates will be awarded to the top adult and top youth entries in each category with cash prizes given to overall winners, adult and youth. Only hard copies will be accepted - no digital entries are allowed. “We are excited to partner with Self Expressions Gallery and the Morton-James Public Library on this,” Partsch said. All entries are to be dropped off at Self Expressions Gallery at 819 Central Avenue during normal business hours by Wednesday, March 25. The MortonJames Public Library has offered their Kimmel Gallery as a display space for the entries. “All the entries will be up in the Kimmel Gallery during the entire month of April,” Partsch said.
