Police Officer
The City of Nebraska City (Population 7300) currently holds an open position for Police Officer and is now accepting applications. Certification is preferred, however is not a requirement.
Applicants must be a Citizen of the United States, at least 21 years of age, possess a high school diploma or G.E.D. certificate, and hold a valid driver’s license. No current or past domestic violence violations. And no D.W.I /D.U.I.’s within the last two years. The City does require a 30-minute residence response restriction.
Salary range: $55,994.00 /$68,078.00. Certified Officer’s salary will be based upon experience. Any non-certified applicants, must meet all requirements for admission into the Nebraska Law Enforcement Training.

EMT – The City of Nebraska City has an opening for a Full Time Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). The EMT will work 24-hour shifts and will respond to call-back status on coordinated days off. Position will be required to provide patient care consistent with protocol along with daily duties such as: equipment inventory and resupply, simple vehicle maintenance and repairs, and public education. Successful applicant must be 18 years of age or older, possess at least a High School Diploma or GED, possess a valid Motor Vehicle Operator’s License without restrictions, a valid Nebraska EMT License and a valid BLS Card.
