Nebraska City Municipal Code Book, Chapter 10, Article II
DUTIES (for complete description, see the Municipal Code):
10-36. The cemetery advisory board shall be responsible to make recommendations to the mayor and city commissioners regarding the control, management, and administration of the city cemetery, including the planning for subsequent additions thereto, and also in connection with any other cemetery acquired by the city.
10-42. The cemetery advisory board shall have the power to adopt reasonable rules and regulations for the management of the cemetery, including the type of monuments which may be permitted or allowed. When said rules shall have been approved by the affirmative action of the mayor and city commissioners and three (3) copies thereof shall have been filed with the city clerk, said rules so adopted and filed shall become a part of this chapter the same as though copied at full length herein.
APPOINTMENT & COMPOSITION:
10-29. The cemetery advisory board shall be composed of seven (7) members.
10-31. The members of the cemetery advisory board shall be appointed by the mayor, by and with the consent of the city commissioners.
TERM:
10-32. The members of the cemetery advisory board shall serve for terms of three (3) years each; provided, that of the original appointments to the advisory board, two (2) members shall be appointed for one (1) year, two (2) members shall be appointed for two (2) years, and three members shall be appointed for three (3) years. Such terms shall commence on the first day of June next succeeding their appointment.
