The Nebraska City Police Department currently consists of 15 sworn officers. The Chief of Police is Benjamin Murry, who has over 33 years of experience in law enforcement. Among the administrative personnel there is a Captain and a Department Secretary. The Department is staffed with knowledgeable personnel, who have a wide variety of specialized training and skills. The Nebraska City Police Department operates around the clock providing 24 hours of service to its citizens.

The mission of the Nebraska City police Department is to investigate crime, preserve order, and protect the lives and property of our citizens and visitors to our community. We accomplish this by cultivating a partnership with our citizens to help identify and apprehend violators and working as a team with our law enforcement neighbors to maximize our effectiveness.
